This is a 3-part series designed to help caregivers understand ADHD and the impact ADHD has on children in the early years. Caregivers will learn about the different types of ADHD, what it means for their child and their family. Caregivers will also learn how to understand ADHD symptoms vs. behaviour problems. The focus will be on helping caregivers of children ages 4-6 years to understand this complex disorder and how they can support their child. The first step to helping is understanding. This group will also support caregivers to assist their children to feel better about themselves, navigate these early years and feel understood. Caregivers will get tips and strategies on parenting their ADHD child.
Sending a referral to a group does not guarantee you a spot in the group. You can expect to receive a call from our Access and System Navigation Team within 10 days of receiving the referral. They will complete an assessment to determine if the group supports your identified goals. If the group is not suitable, they will offer recommendations for alternate groups and/or services that could better support your identified goals.
Referral windows may close earlier than posted if the group fills up before that date. Please check if the group is still accepting referrals before sending.
