ROCK’s new clothing donation program is in partnership with Clothing for Charity Ltd. and is a key part of ROCK’s Pay it Forward (PIF) campaign.
ROCK’s clothing donation program demonstrates ROCK’s commitment to the environment and waste diversion, and draws attention to the need for financial support for community mental health programs and services for children, youth and their families that are in great need of sustainable funding. Proceeds raised from ROCK’s clothing donation program will go directly towards the Our Community Cares Program, the Youth Aiding Youth Program, Halton Families for Families and Positive Space Network.
You can get involved by donating gently used clothing at any one of the light mint collection bins bearing the Clothing for Charity Ltd. logo and ROCK’s donation and PIF signs throughout Halton. Drivers pick up the used clothing donations from the bins on a regularly-scheduled program. The clothes are then delivered back to a sorting facility where they are sorted. Good clothes are provided to various women’s shelters throughout Halton. Other items are sold as industrial wiping clothes, used clothing and waste fibres locally and worldwide.
