Explore Our Services

Foundational family services are available free of charge to all families registered in the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). They aim to give you more tools to work with your child or youth and participate in their ongoing learning and development.  

Workshops are tailored to OAP-registered Caregivers, covering various topics next steps after registration, toileting, communication, behaviour, and an introduction to ABA.  

Caregiver Cafés offer a chance for caregivers and children to connect with others in the ROCK Autism community, while our Autism Therapists support Youth in activities designed to support engagement and social interactions.

Registered Drop-Ins
Monthly themed drop-in sessions are available for clients aged 6 and up in Halton. Screening and registration are required through our Access Line (289-266-0036). 

OAP Brief Targeted Consultation
Our Autism and Behavioural Services team offers free targeted consultations (up to 3 appointments) covering topics like the OAP changes, behaviour strategies, and skill development. Sessions can also include both an autism therapist and mental health professional.

To Register for Drop-Ins and OAP brief Appointments, call our Access Line at 289-266-0036 (Mon-Fri, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.). Have your OAP reference number ready. 

ROCK is partnered with Woodview Mental Health and Autism Services to offer Project ImPACT FREE of charge. Project ImPACT an early intervention program for caregivers of children under 4, registered for the Ontario Autism Program (OAP), and invited to Caregiver Mediated Early Years (CMEY) in their OAP Portal. 

In this program, you will: 

  • work with autism therapists to set individualized goals for your child 
  • teach new techniques step-by-step 
  • empower you to support your child’s skill development through play 
  • focus areas include: Social Engagement, Communication, Imitation and play skills 

Project ImPACT runs for 12 weeks, alternating between virtual group sessions and individual coaching, with follow-up support available to ensure ongoing success. This program is supervised by a Registered Behaviour Analyst (R.B.A.)

ROCK offers Urgent Response Service (URS) at no cost through the Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services (MCCSS), in partnership with ErinoakKids, Sunbeam Community Services, and Dufferin Child and Family Services. This program provides short-term (up to 12 weeks) support for children and youth living in the Halton Region, addressing urgent needs to prevent harm or escalation of risk. 

Eligibility
To qualify, the child must be: 

  • Registered in the OAP 
  • Experiencing one or more high-risk factors that have emerged or worsened in the past 14 days. These may include: Aggression, property destruction, violent thoughts, fire setting, harm to animals, self-injurious behavior, suicidal thoughts, inappropriate sexual behavior, flight risk
