We are very pleased to announce our new partnership with Danielle’s Place!
Danielle’s Place is a locally-based eating disorders support and resource centre in Burlington. The centre was opened in 2005 Carolyn Mayeur. Mayeur named the centre after her daughter Danielle who passed away at age 25 due to anorexia.
Everyone here at ROCK is extremely excited to help increase this centre’s resources and reach through this new partnership. The collaboration became official on April 1st and will continue without interruption.
Danielle’s Place will continue to operate out of it’s original office at 895 Brant St. Unit 3 in Burlington, but the partnership with ROCK opens big doors for future growth.
Our very own Kirsten Dougherty, director of people, culture and sustainability here at ROCK explained, “We will be ensuring that Danielle’s Place receives more resources to continue services and enhance their services for the community. We will be looking to fundraise in the community and write grants for resources for Danielle’s place. Their budget is now a part of our budget.”
These enhancements will include a new list of adult services as well as specific support and care for disordered eating.
Here at ROCK we are a much larger agency and therefore receive a great deal more funding. Our budget annually is almost $10 million with a client base of close to 15,000 which allows us a much wider variety of resources to help maintain and grow the services that Danielle’s Place offers.
